Army Skull Shaped Morale Patch

A morale patch is a patch worn by soldiers on their uniform designed to be a humorous joke, applied only to certain military units or branches of the military. Usually used when deploying, but wear morale patches at the discretion of the unit commander.

These patches often (not always) tease parts of the job that are fun, boring, or specific.

The "Morale Stops Here" patch is quite popular and is actually being copied by units around the world. It was so funny the first time I saw it.

It's old, a throwback to the Air Force Command days. "Sorry is not SAC policy" is commonly attributed to the famous SAC leader, Curtis LeMay.

These patches have been around since the military started wearing patches. They were collected and sold by people, military and civilian, who came across them. Some are more popular than others but still fun.

The air war in the first Persian Gulf War lasted almost 40 days in 1991, when US and coalition aircraft launched 100,000 strikes (air missions) and dropped 88,500 tons of bombs on Iraqi targets.

As the Cold War escalates and the threat of nuclear war seems inevitable, the young men and officers involved in wiping out the Earth's population may find themselves a bit stressed.
